How to reset the base station of a Yealink portable phones such as the W52P

To factory reset the base station

Portable phones like the Yealink W52P have a base station that they communicates with. Please note that this is not the thing the phone sits in to charge. The base station is bigger, it's a black box with three lights on it. It will say "Yealink" on it.

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Hold down the "Connect" button located on the front of the device at the bottom (looks like a WIFI symbol)
  3. Power on the device while keeping the "Connect" button pressed
  4. Wait until all 3 LED lights are statically on
  5. After the restart the base will successfully reset

After resetting a Yealink base station, you will need to re-register the handsets that were using it

  1. Long press the Wireless button on the base until it begins to flash (looks like a Wifi symbol). LED will slowly flash, this means that the base station is in registration mode
  2. Press the OK button on the handset to access the directory
  3. Using the navigation keys select and press Settings
  4. Select Registration – Register Handset
  5. Select Base1
  6. The handset will then search for the base, once found press OK
  7. Enter the PIN 0000 then press Done
  8. Successful pairing of the handset to the base will show the confirmation "Handset Subscribed"
