Using VoIP when experiencing power loss

Powerloss is always a worry when having a phone system and VoIP is no exception.

Any physical phones will stop working if you experience power loss in your offices and your internet connection which the VoIP system runs over will also stop working when you loose power. So if you have lost power, you will not be able to make phone calls on your physical phones.

However, there is no need to worry, VoIP phone systems come with an app that can be installed on your mobile phone. So at any point you can just log into the app on your mobile phone and pick up calls that way. Your mobile phone will work using its battery and 4G, so it can work without a power supply.

You can also take your physical phones to another location and they will work anywhere! So if you have a powercut, staff can take their phone home and plug them into their home internet connection.
