Porting your number

Moving your UK phone number to a VoIP phone system should be a simple process. Your new supplier initiates the number port with your old supplier by providing a Letter of Authority (LOA).

This letter has your new supplier and old supplier information on it along with either the single number, or mutiple numbers or ranges of numbers that are required to be ported

The key element to a successful port is that the correct postcode associated with the number is used as proof that the phone number belongs to your organisation.

This can be tricky sometimes if the number is very old, and the business has relocated many times, as at the time of the relocation, the postcode may have being updated, or may not have been changed.
